UAE finance and industry minister expected in Morocco

Finance and industry minister of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Hamdane Bin Rached Al-Maktoum, is expected this Monday in Morocco for a four-day official visit.

According to the UAE news agency "WAM," Sheikh Hamdane, who is also deputy-governor of Dubai, will be leading a delegation of businessmen and officials who will discuss with Moroccan peers possibilities of promoting bilateral cooperation between the two Arab states.

Morocco and the UAE, which convened last June 25-26 their joint commission, had announced the creation of a free-trade area, the first between Morocco and a Gulf country.

The session was chaired by UAE foreign minister, Sheikh Hamdane Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and Morocco's peer, Mohamed Benaissa. Several joint cooperation accords and investment projects were agreed upon at the meeting.
