Israeli attacks against Palestinians continues
Palestine-Israel, Politics, 7/21/2001

While the city of Hebron was eulogizing the four Palestinians of al-Tumeizi family including the infant Rida, the Israeli occupation forces continued its aggression against the Palestinian areas.

The Israeli helicopters rocketed Fatah offices in Ein Sarah street in the city and the bombardment resulted in killing the Palestinian citizen Rajai Abu Rajab and wounding three others seriously. Then the Israeli forces bombarded, using tanks and artillery the Khan Younis vamp and this resulted in destroying several houses.

Meantime, Israel renewed its objection to the call of the international community to send UN observers to the occupied Palestinian territories.

The Israeli defense minister Benjamin Bin Aleazer said that Israel may only accept the deployment of UN observers to supervise a truce in the future and that CIA experts are actually supervising the issue of security co-operation between Israel and the Palestinians.

At the international level, the European Union denounced the aggression launched by the Israeli settlers. The Belgium government which assumes the current presidency of the European Union said in a statement issued on Friday that the EU commission strongly denounces the attacks held by the Israeli settlers against unarmed Palestinian civilians near the city of Hebron.

France also strongly condemned the attack and described it as a terrorist act, carried out by extremist settlers who should be brought before the court.

The spokesman for the French foreign ministry Francois Revaso said in a statement on Friday " we strongly condemn this terrorist act which resulted in killing three Palestinians from one family and wounding the fourth."
