Maher denies the convening of a Syrian- Egyptian summit

The Egyptian foreign minister Ahmad Maher, in press statements he made on Thursday, denied any current arrangements to convene a Syrian- Egyptian summit between Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and President Hosni Mubarak of Egypt.
In its Friday's issue, the London- based al-Sharq al-Awsat daily said that Maher stressed the continued negotiations at all levels between the two states concerning international and regional issues and bilateral relations.
