Herald Tribune: the dissolution of ME peace
Regional-Israel, Politics, 7/20/2001

The International Herald Tribune paper issued in London on Wednesday said that the Middle East peace process has started to dissolve and the continued acts of violence between the Israelis and the Palestinians means burying Oslo agreements and the return of the region as a whole to the era prior to the visit of the late Egyptian President Anwar al-Sadat to Jerusalem.

In an article by the American writer and journalist Thomas Friedman, the paper added that the returning back to the before - Sadat era means the isolation of Israel from the Arabs and the isolation of the Arabs from the rest of the world, especially economically as well as the region to enter into small and big wars and internal civil wars that place the region into recession, stalemate and social explosions like the demonstrations carried out by " unemployed people " in Egypt last week.
