Canada nominates new ambassador to Morocco

Canadian foreign minister John Manley on Tuesday announced the nomination of Yves Cagnon as new Canadian ambassador to Morocco.
Cagnon, who will succeed Mark Bailey (appointed in Morocco since July 1998), joined the Canadian foreign department in 1971. He had served in several foreign posts including ambassador to Venezuela.
