Sudan-Algeria, Politics, 7/18/2001

Meetings of the Sudanese- Algerian ministerial committee started in Khartoum on Tuesday in order to discuss cooperation in the political and economic fields. It is a committee which was agreed to be convened by the Sudanese President Omar Hassan al-Bashir and the Algerian President Abdul Aziz Butaflika during the latter's visit to Khartoum in November.

The Algerian foreign minister Abdul Aziz Balkhadem said following his arrival in Khartoum on Monday that the committee will enable the two states to reconsider matters in all fields of cooperation and deepening joint political consultation.
