Sudanese government is ready for talks with the opposition

In a step which might open the road before the efforts aiming at finding the proper solution for the political crisis in Sudan, according to debated initiatives, foremost being the joint Egyptian- Libyan initiative, the Sudanese government has announced its readiness to sit on the table of negotiations with the opposition.

The advisor for the Sudanese President Ghazi Salah Eddine said during his meeting with heads of diplomatic missions and UN organizations accredited in Khartoum that the governmental delegation taking part in these negotiations will include all political forces inside Sudan and the priority will be for ceasing fire.

The Sudanese government had invited all these diplomats to explain its position towards the paper it has submitted to the two countries of the initiatives ( Libya and Egypt) in June. This paper speaks of founding a provisional government and the convening of a national conference to review the constitution. This implies a guarantee to preserve the obligations including the right to self- determination.
