Morocco calls for IT Maghreban strategy
Maghreb-Morocco, Economics, 7/17/2001
Morocco has called on Maghreban countries to adopt a joint strategy to take up the challenge of new information technologies.
The call was made by Nasr Hajji, secretary of state for posts and telecommunications and information technologies, at the 9th session of the Maghreban post and telecommunications ministers' council.
The strategy will serve as a platform for a better integration of the Maghreb in the world information community, said Hajji.
The Tunis meeting was crowed with the adoption of a set of recommendations meant to foster inter-Maghreban cooperation in information technology realms.
