Al-Assad congratulates on Iraq's national Day

Syrian President Bashar al-Assad on Monday sent a cable of congratulations to President Saddam Hussein of the Republic of Iraq on the occasion of Iraq's national day. The cable reads:" On Iraq's national day, in the name of the Syrian people and my own name I convey most sincere congratulations and best wishes to the Iraqi President Saddam Hussein and to the brotherly people of Iraq."
