Arabs, Africans to coordinate on WTO

Arab and African meetings will be held in Cairo this month to discuss and coordinate stances on the agenda of the World Trade Organization (WTO) ministerial conference, to be held in Qatar next November 9.
Arab ministers of economy and trade will meet here Tuesday to debate positions on talks for freeing agricultural products trade and services as well as assess Uruguay round's results, which agreed on the creation of the WTO to replace the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade GATT.
Arab members of the WTO are Egypt, Kuwait, Tunisia, Jordan, Morocco, Mauritania, Djibouti, Oman, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates.
