Drought in Somalia

Somalia's minister of waters and mineral resources Hassan Bashir Farah said on Sunday said that almost 2 million Somalis have been affected by the wave of drought which hit several areas of the country.
News reports quoted Farah as saying in a statement that the old wells have dried quickly, more than expected because of the strong drought.
Farah indicated that the Somali government is very concerned towards the water conditions which has been greatly deteriorated.
He made it clear that thousands of rural villages were forced to leave their house in search of waters and food.
