On Arafat's visit to Damascus

The chairman of the Palestinian Authority Yasser Arafat has stated he will pay a visit to Syria in the first opportunity availed for him, noting that sending a delegation before such a visit is a thing which is not debated for the time being.
In an interview with the Saudi daily al-Watan issued on Saturday Arafat attributed the reason behind the delay of his visit to Syria to the preoccupation of the Syrian officials and also his preoccupation in the " crazy Israeli escalation."
