Morocco sends official delegation to Bonn's climatic changes conference
Morocco, Environment, 7/13/2001

Morocco will be represented at the conference on climatic changes to open in Bonn on Monday by an official delegation, led by minister of territory development, urbanism, housing and environment, Mohamed El Yazghi.

Although the opening session and high-level negotiations are slated for Thursday, informal talks will start on Monday at the level of experts.

Morocco will host next October the 7th conference of parties to the international convention of climatic changes. Over 8,000 participants from 185 countries and international organizations, NGOs, academics, professionals, and media will be attending the conference.

The Moroccan official will first go to Dusseldorf, capital of the Rhanie-North Westphalia region linked to Morocco with a cooperation agreement on environment.
