Israel denounces Syria's nomination for the membership of the UN Security Council

Israel on Wednesday strongly denounced Syria's nomination for the non- permanent membership for the UN Security Council and accused Damascus of threatening peace through backing the Hizbullah.Worthy mentioning that Syria is nominated as a non- permanent member at the UN Security Council from 2002 to 2004.
This nomination was supported by the by the Arab states which are in the course of the Afro- Asian group. Regional groups at the UN always choose the candidates to this non- permanent membership.
