Standard Poor's Rating Company visit Morocco

Top executives from the rating agency "Standard Poor's," currently on a visit in Morocco, met with industry, trade, energy and mining minister, Mustapha Mansouri.
Mansouri briefed the delegation on the leading role played by the private sector in investments and job creation. He also underlined the importance of Morocco's political and macro-economic stability and its geographic location, at the crossroads of Europe, Africa and the Arab world. He cited the agreements signed between Morocco and several countries, mainly the association agreement with the European Union, providing for the creation of a free trade area and another Free-trade area project with Jordan, Tunisia and Egypt.
The government has taken a series of reforms to support the upgrading of Moroccan enterprises competitiveness, set up industrial compounds, consolidate technologic use in enterprises, creation of a clean industries center, a pollution-control fund, development of vocational training and the setting forth of adequate funding tools.
