Al-Assad, German Chancellor discuss development of relations, regional developments
Amid great German political and media interest, Syrian President Bashar al-Assad arrived in Berlin and held immediately a close- door meeting with the German Chancellor Gerhard Shroeder centered on developing cooperation between the two countries and means of salvaging the ME peace process. The President and the Chancellor answered questions put by journalists following the meeting.

Israeli forces broke into Rafah, destroy 20 houses
An Israeli military force, backed by tanks and bulldozers broke into Salah Eddine Gate and the Palestinian Blouk camp in Rafah and incurred for an area of 100 meters and opened fires of its shells and heavy machine guns at the Palestinian houses and this resulted in destroying more than 20 houses and 6 trade centers and the expulsion of more than 600 persons and wounding several Palestinians.

Two Palestinian artists, member of the Falouja folk art band, were lightly wounded on Monday as the stage collapsed at the Jamaa El Fna in Marrakesh.
