African Summit adopts African Union agreement

The African Summit will adopt the agreement of African Union that will replace the Organization of African Unity (OAU). Newly elected OAU Secretary-General Camara Issy said that his major task is to lay down the foundation for the African Union. In statements to the Middle East News Agency (MENA) following his election for one-year Monday night Issy underlined the importance of boosting Arab-African cooperation.
