Israel continues violating Lebanese airspace, Lahoud stresses Lebanese- Syrian relations
Lebanon-Israel, Politics, 7/11/2001

While the Israeli forces continued to reinforce their military positions in the back lines of the Shebaa farms by bringing in more armored vehicles and tanks, the Lebanese President stressed that Syrian- Lebanese relations are but an advanced type of developed relations between " two sisterly Arab states," stressing the importance of inter- Arab solidarity in confrontation of dangers hatched against the Arab states and their just causes.

During his meeting on Tuesday in Beirut with the delegation representing the general secretariat of Arab parties, the Lebanese President said that the Lebanese experience showed that the liberation of the occupied Arab territories will be made by mounting resistance and the commitment of the people around the strong state and the national army.

He stressed the way victory was achieved in Lebanon, it will be also achieved in occupied Palestine.

The Lebanese President also called for an international cooperation to counter the problem of the Israeli mines implanted in South Lebanon and to reactivate the Arab and international initiatives to help in removing the land-mines.

On the other hand, the Israeli occupation forces continued to strengthen its military positions in the backward lines of the occupied Shebaa farms.

News reports from South Lebanon said that 15 Israeli tanks were brought on Monday night from Banias district ( in the Golan) because of the state of great tension in the confrontation lines in the areas adjoining the Lebanese territories with Israel.

The reports added that a series of explosions were heard and seen at the outskirts of al-Assal ( honey) valley inside Shebaa farms and found out that these explosions are a result of constructing new military roads.

A pilot-less Israeli reconnaissance flew over Shebaa farms and the border area.
