Preliminary meeting for collective conference in Sudan

An intensive diplomatic move was noted between Cairo, Khartoum and Tripoli with continued contacts and meetings that took place in the few recent days with the aim of holding continued consultations to convene the pan preparatory meeting among the various Sudanese sides in order to maintain national reconciliation.

It is scheduled that the Libyan foreign minister Suleiman al-Shahoumi will arrive in Egypt next week to set a date and the place for the forum Press reports said that the preparatory conference will be held in Cairo. Sudanese governmental sources stressed the dialogue will be between the Sudanese government and the national democratic coalition.

The sources did not rule out that the dialogue meeting between the government and the opposition for national reconciliation to be held at the headquarters of the Arab League, due to the active role played by Amr Moussa in supporting the Sudanese national reconciliation, his recent visit to al-Khartoum and his meeting with the chairman of the opposition democratic national coalition Muhammad Othman al-Meirghani after the consent of the coalition on the memorandum of the Egyptian- Libyan declaration of principle memorandum.
