Iran denies Israeli story on its revolution guards officer

A source at the Iranian " revolutionary guards " has denied in a statement to the London- based al-Hayat daily issued on Tuesday what was stated by the Israeli radio on the Iranian revolution's guard officer fleeing to Israel through the borders with Lebanon.

The Iranian source ridiculed the content of the story which was stated by the Israeli daily Maareve and the British daily " Sunday Times" on the escape of the said officer to Israel, stressing that such a story is fabricated.

The source which asked not to be identified denied that there are members of the revolutionary guards forces on the Lebanese territories and to have missiles batteries there.

On what states by the Israeli paper that the Iranian officer who resorted to Israeli is one of the close friends to the elder son of the Iranian President Muhammad Khatami, the source made it clear that " Khatami's son is still under 11 year old and can not be a friend to an officer in the Iranian revolutionary guards."
