Egypt vows commitment to liberating our lands
Egypt-Regional, Politics, 7/11/2001

The Egyptian foreign minister Ahmad Maher has stressed Egypt's unwavering commitment to liberating the occupied Arab lands in Jerusalem, the Golan and all the Palestinian territories until June 4, 1967 border lines and the still occupied parts of the Lebanese territories stressing the firm links of the Egyptian security to the national security of the Arab states.

In statements he made in Cairo on Tuesday, Maher warned Israel against continued aggressive practices against the Palestinian people.

He called on the US to shoulder its responsibilities towards the region and its realization of the fact that its interests are vulnerable to dangers because of its bias to Israel, noting that these American interests can be hit, especially by using oil under the Arab repression concerning the US.

He underlined the importance of unifying Arab stances in confrontation of the Israeli escalation in the region, noting that the Arab states own " numerous papers and a great force."
