Saudi aid to the Palestinians

The Saudi news agency has stated hat a saudi committee to support the Palestinian Intifada on Sunday provided a sum of $ 2.48 million for the Palestinians as part of the aids gathered for the Palestinians in the Kingdom.

The agency added that the Saudi minister of the Interior prince Nayef Bin Abdul Aziz, who supervises the Saudi committee in support of the Palestinian Intifada ordered the payment of 5.570 million Saudi riyals ( $ 1.48 million) to help several Palestinains who are in need inside Palestine.

The sum will include aid for Palestinian families killed during the confrontation with the Israeli army and to the wounded of the Palestinian Intifada and to Palestinian families the Israeli army demolished their houses and to ensure foodstuffs for the needy among the Palestinians.

The agency reported that "this sum started to be paid for those who need it inside the Palestinian territories according to precise lists including their names, addresses and what sort of wounds they have and the extent of damage hit every house." The Saudi news agency, on the other hand, said that the committee in charge of supporting the " Jerusalem Intifada" in al-Riyadh received donations for 337 Palestinian families " who are drastically in need in occupied Palestine," for one year.

The agency quoted the excutive bureau director of the Saud Bin Muhammad al-Rashoud as saying that the donations so far reached 4,004 million Saudi riyals ( more than USD one million ) to support these Palestinian families.
