Somalia celebrates its national day

Thousands of Somalis in Makadishu have celebrated their national day for the first time since 11 years during which the country witnessed rounds of civil wars snce tolling the regime of the former President Seyad Berri in 1991.
Taking part in the celebrations were forces from the police, the army, sudents and delegates from certain areas. Armed forces, reformed military parades in Tarbouna square in the heart of Makadishu took place.
The celebrations were attended by President Abdul Qasem salad Hassan, the prime minister Ali Khleif Jalber and members in the government as well as representatives for the Libyan government which is the only country which has an embassy in Makadishu.
