Yemeni- Iranian joint committee meets

The fifth session of the Yemeni- Iranian joint committee started its meetings on Sunday in Tehran under the chairmanship of the Yemeni ministe of planing and development Ahmad Muhammad Soufman and the Iranian minister of agriculture Mahmoud Hijati.

The two sides discussed means of developing and strengthening cooperation relations between the two countries in the areas of agriculture, cattle breeding and fisheries, natural resources and fighting desertifications.

The two sides stressed the desire to exchange experiences with the aim to ensure the necessary ground to promote bilateral cooperation in the economic, technical, cultural and scientific fields.

The Yemeni minister of planning and develoment arrived in tehran on Sunday morning to preside over his country's delegation to the meeting of the joint economic committee.
