King Mohammed holds religious ceremony to mark 2nd anniversary of his father demise

Morocco's King Mohammed VI, Amir Al Mouminine (commander of the faithful), who was accompanied by prince Moulay Rachid, chaired on Sunday night at the Mohammed V Mausoleum in Rabat a religious ceremony marking the 2nd anniversary of the demise of his father, King Hassan II.
Gabonese president, Haj Omar Bongo, who is paying a private visit to Morocco was among figures attending the ceremony in which the assistance read out the Koran and prayed for the rest of the soul of the late King Hassan II, the late King Mohammed V and the late Prince Moulay Abdallah.
The sovereign and prince Moulay Rachid, then, visited the graves of their grand father, their father and their uncle and read prayers for the rest of their souls.
Prime minister, Abderrahmane Youssoufi, speaker of the chamber of Advisor, royal advisors, government members and other officials and members of the royal family attended the religious ceremony.
Meanwhile, Princess Lalla Meryem also chaired at the Rabat Assouna mosque a religious ceremony where verses of the Koran were read and prayers for the rest of the late King's soul were said, in the presence of the king's advisor, Mrs Zoulikha Nassri and other figures.
The Late King Hassan II passed away on July 23, 1999, corresponding to 9th of Rabie II, 1420.
