Al-Bashir vows to end the war

The Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir announced he will dedicate the next year 2002 of his rule in an attempt to put an end to the civil war and to establish peace in Sudan.
In a speech he delivered on the occasion of the 12rd anniversary of his rule and the foundation of al-Inqaz ( salvation) revolution in Sudan, President al-Bashir said that searching for peace in Sudan will be " of his greatest battles in his new year in power," noting he will continue efforts to establish peace regardless to dificulties and tha developmental programs held in Southern Sudan will help to attain this goal.
The Sudanese president said, in the celebration which was attended by the secretary general of the Arab League Amr Mousa and representatives for Egypt, Libya, Ethiopia, Eritrea, South Africa and Sudan, that he seeks to improve relaions with all countries on the ground of reciprocated interests and non- interference in the internal affairs of any country. He continued that he will work to establish a national council for peace that will be in charge of analyzing peace initiatives and ways of dealing with them.
