An Egyptian- Libyan summit very soon

Well-informed Arab sources in Cairo expected the convening of an Egyptian- Libyan summit before the end of the current week near the Egyptian- Libyan borders in order to discuss current developments on the Arab and regional arenas, especially the future of the Arab- Israeli peace process and the practices carried out by the government of the Israeli prime minister Ariel Sharon agains the Palestinians as well as means of bolstering Egyptian- Libyan relations in all fields and inaugurating the electricity grid line between Egypt and Libya.
The Egyptian President had made a telephone call with the Libyan President which was the third between the two leaders during June. The two sides have been used to carry out regular meetings every few weeks alternatively between Egypt and Libya in the framework of the continued consultations between them on the developments of relaions and the current Arab and regional conditions.
President al-Qaddafi visited cairo in March on his way in an Arab tour hat covered then Syria, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Sudan before the meetings of the recent Arab summit held in Amman.
In June the Egyptian- Libyan joint higher committee met under the chairmanship of the two countries prime ministers in Libya to review and evaluate economic and trade relations between the two countries.
