A funeral for the Egyptian actress Suad Hosni in Cairo

A large funeral was held on Thursday in cairo for the renowned Egyptian actress Suad Hosni who died in London on Friday following along struggle with diseases and depression at the age of 58.

The funeral was attended by a representative for the Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak who offered condolences to the family of the late actress. Also taking part in the funeral were large number of Egyptian artists including actors Youssef Shaaban who is the chairman of the artists union in Egypt, Hussein Fahmi, Mahmoud Yassin, Laila Elwi and Nabila Obeid, Izzat al-Aleyli and many others.

News reports said that Hosni who was killed after her body was found collided on the ground being thrown from a sixth floor flat in London. Rumors said that either she committed suicide after she run out of money as the Egyptian government cut supporting her financially to recover from back-bone pains, while other stories said that she was thrown from the flat by an intimate friend as the latter dropped her from the balcony to steal her jewelry and diaries about her eventful artistic and personal life. Hosni married for five times and has no Children. She acted in 83 films and starred many of them.
