Ghoushe ends his relations with Hamas and then Jordan approved his return back from Bancock
Jordan, Politics, 6/29/2001

Jordan on Thursday agreed to the return back of Ibrahim Ghoushe, the official in the Islamic Hamas movement to Amman after he had agreed to stop any relation with this movement.

The Jordanian minister of information Saleh al-Qallab expected the return back of Ghoushe who left for Bancock on the board of a flight for the Jordanian royal airline ( at his own will) " within 48 hours."

The Jordanian minister explained that Ghoushe vowed not to practice any activity of any media, political or organizational sort with the Hamas Movement and this was expressed in a statement that he had released and signed in Bancock.

Ghoushe ( 65 year old) who is a Jordanian of Palestinian origin arrived in Amman in an unexpected way from Doha on June 14 defying a decision taken by the Jordanian authorities to evacuate him together with other three from the leading figures of the movement after the movement's activities were embargoed in Jordan in November 1999, but he was not permitted to enter the Jordanian territories.

In Gaza, the Hamas movement held the Jordanian government and its specialized departments fully responsible for the life of Ghoushe, his safety and security and demanded " immediate open up about his conditions, the place where he does exist and to return him back to his country Jordan." Worthy mentioning the Qatari plane which took Ghoushe to Amman's airport returned back on Thursday to Doha.
