Moroccan-Colombian cultural cooperation probed in Rabat

Means to enhance cultural cooperation between Morocco and Colombia were probed at meetings in Rabat this week between visiting Colombian minister of culture, Ms. Araceli Morales Lopez, and Moroccan officials.
The two sides pledged to give momentum to this cooperation and as underlined at a meeting between Lopez and Moroccan Premier Abderrahmane Youssoufi, cultural relations help consolidate ties between economic operators and consequently enhance trade and economic cooperation.
In a statement to MAP, the Colombian official voiced her country's resolve to consolidate partnership relations with Morocco and announced that a Moroccan fair will be held in Colombia next September to highlight the kingdom's civilization, mainly through handicraft, cuisine and music.
She said she invited her Moroccan peer, Mohamed Ach?ari, to take part in a conference on cultural policies to be held in Colombia by the end of next September.
Ms Lopes who is to wind up her visit to Morocco Monday will make trips to Casablanca, Fez and Marrakesh.
Rabat and Bogota are bound by several cooperation accords covering the tourism, educational, scientific and cultural sectors.
