Foreign sides are accused in Algerian incidents
Algeria, Local, 6/28/2001

The Algerian prime minister Ali Bin Flis has accused foreign sides in contributing to inflaming riot incidents taking place in al-Kabayel area and several Algerian cities.

In an introduction speech before members of parliament started to question the government about its role in the recent developments, Bin Flis questioned if it is reasonable that Algerians will interfere at the European Union and at foreign capitals to ask for interference in the affairs of their country.

Bin Flis also criticized the request made by the chiefs and the representatives of al-Kabayel area in withdrawing all national police from all villages and towns of al-Kabayel area.

In their interventions, the members of parliament showed different views between those with the same view of the government that see foreign hands in the incidents in the area and others who find local motives as the reasons.
