An international conference to protect the Arab child

A conference on protecting the child from mal- treatment and negligence will be held in al-Manama on October 20 to 22. It is organized by the Bahraini society for developing childhood in collaboration with UNICEF.

The conference which will be attended by several experts and specialists from several Arab states and the US and other experts at the UN will discuss several matters relating to monitoring the volume of the phenomenon on mal-treatment and negligence imposed on children in the Arab homeland and define their reasons.

These experts will also discuss consequences of such conditions on the childhood and the society and means of challenging it and preventive measures to this end. The convening of this conference falls in the course of the efforts made by the UN to back childhood issues and programs in the Arab region.
