The Jordanian weekly al-Majd said in its recent issue of Monday that it had a telephone call with the chairman of the political bureau of the Hamas movement Khaled Mashaal on a proposal submitted by lawyer Hani al-Dahleh, the chairman of the Arab organization for human rights in Jordan provided for Jordanian national figures to join the Hamas movement. The paper said that Mashaal welcomed the joining of the Jordanian national figures to the movement, saying that Hamas is open to all " honest Arabs and Muslims" who have the keen to liberate al-Aqsa and Palestine."

The meeting, meant to consolidate cooperation between the two institutions, will discuss issues of interest to Moroccans settled in Spain or transiting via Spain and to Spaniards living in Morocco or transiting via Morocco, a statement by the Moroccan supreme court said.

The production directorate in the Syrian General establishment for drinking waters announced on Monday increasing the number of hours of cutting drinking waters in the capital to 16 hours per day. The production director at the establishment Ibrahim Abdul Nour said that Damascus's daily need of drinking waters reached 720,000 cubic meters at this time of the year, while daily shortage of waters is estimated at 254,000 cubic meters.
