The Lebanese daily al-Mustaqbal has stated that a high ranking Jordanian official unveiled continued contacts between Qatar and Israel, noting that this is a violation to the decision of the Arab follow up committee to halt political contacts with Israel.

The Jordanian official said that Qatar's foreign minister Hamad Bin Jaber al-Thani visited Israel two weeks ago secretly and was accommodated in Naharia where he held secret talks with the Israeli officials.

The official added that the former coordinator of the Israeli affairs in Lebanon Ori Lubrani had three days ago paid a secret visit to Doha during which he discussed revitalization of the activities of the Israeli liaison office which was re-opened after the Qatari authorities announced it was re-opened in November 2000, during the convening of the conference of the Islamic states after each of Saudi Arabia and Iran said they will abstain from attending if the office will continue to be open.
