Tunisia, Jordan boost their cooperation

The Jordanian prime minister Ali Abu al-Ragheb has started an official visit to Tunisia to lead his country's delegation to the meetings of the 5th session of the joint higher committee.

Abu al-Ragheb and his Tunisian counterpart Muhammad al-Ghanoushe presided over the inauguration of the meetings of the committee at the government's place in al-Qusbeh quarters.

The two sides stressed their determination to develop bilateral cooperation and to benefit from the Tunisian experience in dealing with the European Union in light of the partnership agreement Tunisia reached with the European Union EU in 1995 a partnership agreement and started its implementation in 1998. Jordan has reached a similar agreement in the year 2000.

Abu al-Ragheb and al-Ghanoushe held a round of talks on developing the legislative framework for bilateral cooperation to amend the existing agreements and political issues of mutual concern, especially of mutual concern.

President Zein al-Abidin Bin Ali will be meeting with Ali Abu al-Ragheb and hold talks that will cover prospects of intensifying cooperation and the situation in the Middle East and the Arab Maghreb.
