Mubarak confers with Arafat

President Hosni Mubarak of Egypt on Wednesday in Cairo discussed with the chairman of the Palestinian Authority Yasser Arafat at the Burj al-Arab city airport in Egypt latest developments regarding deteriorated conditions in the occupied Palestinian territories and the efforts exerted to restore back calm and stability to the Middle East region.
Then, President Mubarak and the chairman of the PA held a plenary session. It was attended by the Egyptian defense minister lt. Gen. Hussein Tantawi, the chairman of the Egyptian President divan Zakaraya Azmi and the political advisor for the Egyptian President Osama al-Baz.
