Sherif leads Egypt's delegation to Arab Ministers of Information Conference

The Egyptian Minister of Information Safwat El-Sherif will lead Egypt's delegation to the 34th session of Arab Ministers of Information, to open in Beirut on Tuesday.
The Egyptian team to the two-day conference includes Radio Director Omar Batisha, his Advisor Mohammed Marie and Information Minister's Advisor Anwar Galal.
Sherif, in Egypt's address to the opening session, will present proposals on current and future cooperation in the field of Arab information.
The Information Ministers Council's agenda involves the vision of the Arab media discourse on rejection of the Israeli war crimes in the occupied lands and the demand for setting up an international war crimes tribunal as well as support for the Palestinian issue and Al-Aqsa Intifada.
Arab information Ministers will dwell on exchange of data and information and Arab coordination in the field of Satellite Channels.
Sherif, who is to leave Cairo Monday for Beirut, will hold meetings on the sidelines of the council.
The Arab information's permanent committee renewed its full support for steadfast protection of Jerusalem Arabism as well as backing of the Palestinian Intifada.
During its 68th ordinary session held Saturday night, the committee also voiced vehement support for Lebanon in its struggle to complete the liberation of its occupied lands.
Participants also endorsed the committee's agenda which includes 21 items in preparation for the 34th session of the Arab Information Ministers Council.
The committee will resume meetings on Monday to finalize its recommendations which will be referred to Arab information ministers council.
On his part, Arab League's Secretary-General Amr Moussa opens Tuesday the 34th session of Arab Ministers of Information. The two-day session will be chaired by Lebanon's Minister of Information Ghazi Al-Aridi.
