Morocco-Italy forum set up

A Morocco-Italy forum gathering economic operators and outstanding figures from the world of culture, science and communication has just been set up.

The forum seeks to bring the two countries closer, promote Morocco's image in Italy and be a platform for meetings between businessmen, activists from the civil society and intellectuals.

The forum chairmanship is held by Rosario Alessandrello, president of the Italian Technimont group, specialized in the sector of energy.

The forum setting up was announced on the sidelines of two seminars held in northern Italy on investment and partnership opportunities and economic prospects in Morocco.

Presentations made during the seminars-- that were attended by head of the foreign investments department at the Moroccan ministry of economy and finance-- highlighted the advantages provided by the Moroccan investment code and the business and partnership opportunities likely to attract Italian operators.

Similar seminars were held or are projected to be held in other parts of Italy.
