Sorour to review Mubarak's efforts for reaching a ceasefire in Palestinian territories

The Egyptian People's Assembly Speaker Ahmed Fathi Sorour will brief the preparatory meeting of the speakers of Mediterranean states parliaments which will be held in Athens later this month on the results of efforts by President Mubarak for pushing forward the peace efforts, ending Israeli violence and securing a ceasefire in Palestinian territories.

He will also review efforts for providing a better climate for resuming Palestinian Israeli territories and carrying out recommendations of Mitchell report.

Sorour will illustrate he Egyptian view point towards applying international legitimacy resolutions through Madrid conference, Sharm El-Sheikh conference and bilateral agreements signed between Israel and Palestinians.
