American donation for the Iraqi opposition

The US has decided to offer the Iraqi opposition national congress financial aid estimated at $ 6 million, but is still waiting to the end of the review process for spending this sum, so as to put it into implementation.

News reports said that the spokesman for the US state department Philip Reker made it clear in a statement that the said sum is part of $ 18 million allotted in the American budget for this year to the Iraqi opposition and it is to finance the current programs of the Iraqi national congress including the mass media and diplomatic activities as well as collecting alleged war crimes carried out by the Iraqi regime.

Worthy mentioning that the process of reviewing areas of spending the donation had started in June ( this month) and is expected to last for several weeks.
