Jordanian front, Muslim brothers group denounce holding of Ghoushe
Jordan, Politics, 6/16/2001

The Islamic work front party and the Muslim brothers group in Jordan denounced the holding of engineer Ibrahim Ghoushe, one of the key figures of the Hamas movement at Queen Alia airport.

In two separate statements, the two sides called on the Jordanian government to give up this position, end the case and permit engineer Ghoushe to head for his family's house in Amman and to submit an apology to the crew of the Qatari plane which took Ghoushe to Jordan because of their behavior with them.

The two statements described this behavior made by the Jordanian government as a violation to the Jordanian constitution and a step which serves Israel's objectives and policy.

The Jordanian airport authorities seized Ghoushe upon his arrival on Thursday on board of a Qatari plane after an alienation lasted for one and a half years and prevented him from getting into Amman.
