Maher: the Arab states will discuss al-Qaddafi thoughts concerning Israel

Egypt's foreign minister Ahmad Maher said on Wednesday in Cairo that the "Arab foreign ministers decided to assign the permanent representatives at the Arab League to continue discussion on thoughts " of Libyan President Muammar al-Qaddafi he debated at the recent Amman's summit by the end of March this year.

Maher added I have assigned " the permanent representatives the task to continue discussion of these issues and to submit a report concerning it " before the convening of the ministerial council of the AL before April.

He explained he had submitted a report to President Mubarak a report about his visit, accompanied by foreign ministers of other Arab states to Tripoli, where they had met with al-Qaddafi.

Maher told journalists that the ( Arab) minister " listened to the views President al-Qaddafi expressed during the recent Amman Arab summit by the end of this March."

A ministerial meeting was held on Monday in Tripoli, with the participation of the secretary general of the Arab League Amre Mousa in order "to discuss drawing a mechanism to implement the views debated by al-Qaddafi." The meeting was attended by the foreign ministers of Egypt, Jordan, Sudan, and Tunisia and the minister in charge of frontal cooperation in Algeria and one of the deputy foreign ministers in Syria.
