Football: UAE to Host World U-20 Cup
United Arab Emirates, Sports, 6/14/2001
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) will host the 2003 World U-20 cup, FIFA President, Joseph Blatter, announced on Wednesday. A FIFA delegation visited recently the UAE, where it inspected sports facilities. UAE will be the third Gulf country to host the competition after Saudi Arabia in 1989 and Qatar in 1995.
Argentina will host the 2001 edition of the cup, held every two years.
