Mauritania: 10 year- imprisonment for opposition member

Judicial sources in Nouakchott announced that the attorney general in the criminal court in Al-Eyoun on Tuesday asked for 10- year imprisonment against the Mauritanian opposition member Shabih Wild al-Sheikh Mil' al-Eynin under the charges of creating unrest.
Mil al-Eynin, leader of the ( opposition) People's Front was arrested in April and he was accused together with other two of carrying out acts of destruction and terrorism in Mauritania. The Attorney general also asked for 20 years imprisonment for the other two: Buha Wild Hassan and Mukhtar Wild Hibatnah.
The Mauritanian authorities say that Wild Mil' al-Eynin and his group would have started acts of destruction and terrorism on April 15, this year.
