Royal palace spokesman: Saudi crown prince's visit was successful at all levels

Official spokesman for the royal palace, Hassan Aourid, told Saudi daily "Asharq Al Awsat" the official visit paid to Morocco, this June 10-11, by Saudi heir apparent, Prince Abdallah Ibn Abdelaziz, was successful at all levels.

Aourid said the visit was an opportunity to share with king Mohammed VI views on all the Arab states issues, mainly the situation in the Middle East which experiences an unprecedented aggression by the Israeli occupation forces, requiring support to the Palestinian people and joining efforts.

He said the two states' stance on the Palestinian cause is a strategic position and one of principle, far from any juncture calculation, as it is based on the fact that peace is not possible unless all the Palestinian people's rights to establish an independent state with Al-Quds as their capital are guaranteed and Israel withdraws from occupied Arab territories.

He went on that the visit by the Saudi heir apparent, deputy-chairman of the ministers council and commander of the national guard, was also an opportunity to give a new impetus to bilateral relations and prospect new fields for the economic cooperation promotion in the perspective of a mutually-beneficial partnership.

He also hoped that the visit will motivate the two states private sectors and civil societies, especially intellectuals whose duty is to consolidate the fraternity bonds.

King Mohammed VI and Prince Abdallah held two rounds of talks in Agadir on Sunday and Monday.

On Monday, Prince Abdallah Ibn Abdelaziz conferred with Prime Minister, Abderrahmane Youssoufi and speaker of the house of representatives, Abdelouahed Radi. He later on headed for Casablanca for a private visit.
