King Mohammed receives Togo president

King Mohammed VI, who was accompanied by prince Moulay Rachid, received here on Monday president of Togo Gnassingbe Eyadema who started on Sunday a three day visit to Morocco.
The sovereign held talks with Togo's President who was accompanied by the minister of defense and former resisters, Hassan Tijani, foreign affairs and cooperation minister Koffi Panou and the minister of planning, territory development and urbanism, Simfeitcheo Pre.
On the Moroccan side, foreign affairs and cooperation minister, Mohamed Benaissa, and transport and merchant navy minister, Abdesslam Znined attended the meeting.
Eyadema, told reporters upon arrival the visit will provide opportunity to enhance bilateral relations and discuss "events shaking the African continent." "We cannot reach economic independence if there is not peace, security and stability," he added.
