King Mohammed congratulates Iran's Khatami on re-election

Morocco's King Mohammed VI has sent Mohamed Khatami a message of congratulations on the occasion of his reelection President of Iran. The king congratulated Khatami for this renewed show of trust on the part of the Iranian people, that "evidenced thus faith in your wise leadership," and wished him good health, happiness and success in his duties at the head of an Islamic country, boasting "a prestigious cultural heritage and an active and efficient presence within the Islamic fold and on the international arena."
King Mohammed VI also renewed resolve to continue to work in concert with President Khatami, "to consolidate the relations of Islamic brotherhood and fruitful cooperation binding our two brotherly countries, in their interest and for the good of the Islamic Ummah."
