Annan visits the ME region next week

The UN announced on Friday that the UN secretary general Kofi Annan will visit the Middle East region next week in a mission which lasts for one week aiming at finding out a political solution for the Palestinian - Israeli conflict.
News reports said that the official spokesman for Annan, who announced the news, Fred Echard did not give details about the program of the visit of the UN secretary general, but just said that the time is suitable for Annan's visit to the region next week.
The UN spokesman noted that time is proper for the Palestinians and the Israelis to move from the security talks to political talks on ways to implement the recommendations of the Mitchell report.
