Amnesty international denounces impunity of Tindouf torturers
Morocco, Politics, 6/8/2001

Amnesty International on Wednesday denounced the impunity of the torturers of the Tindouf camps, south-western Algeria, where thousands of Moroccan citizens are held under forcible detention by the Polisario. The report, which outlines human rights violations perpetrated in 149 countries during 2000, decried the restrictions to freedom of expression, of association and of movement in the Tindouf Camps.

The authors of human rights abuses in the Polisario-controlled camps have always enjoyed impunity, said Amnesty in its 2000 report made public at a press conference in Rabat.
