French bus driver sentenced to 7 years in prison

A French bus driver, who was arrested last May 23 in the port of Tangiers with 855 Kilograms of Chira hidden in the vehicle, was sentenced to 7 years in prison and a fine of 30,000 DH ($2.7 million).
Francois Stephane Henri Richard was also ordered to pay 8.04 million DH ($731,545) to the customs and indirect taxes administration. His bus and the sums of money in foreign currency (8.3 million pesetas and 80,000 French Francs) he held were also seized to the benefit of the administration.
